Billy Frank Temple, who passed away at the age of 90, lived a rich and full life as an educator, craftsman, and devoted family man based primarily in Abilene, Texas. He spent 31 years teaching sixth grade and coaching youth sports, and in retirement pursued woodworking and stained-glass artistry, creating pieces for his local church. Temple and his wife traveled to all 50 states and more than 25 countries during their 66 years of marriage. His surviving family includes a sister-in-law, Nancy Cox, who resides in Carrollton, Texas, connecting his legacy directly to our community. [1]

Jerry Dean Scott, who passed away at age 83 in Belton, Texas, led a remarkable life spanning faith, family, and entrepreneurship across several Texas cities. Over a career exceeding 50 years, he founded seven digital health companies, with one Carrollton-adjacent venture — Healthcare Communications, Inc. — recognized as the fastest-growing company in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. A man of strong Lutheran faith, Jerry served on the Board of Education at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Carrollton, Texas, leaving a lasting imprint on Christian education in the city. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, a son, a daughter, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. [4]
