The Karnataka Philately Passport went on sale at the Bengaluru GPO near the Cubbon Park metro station, drawing hundreds of enthusiastic buyers who began arriving in the early hours of the morning, with the queue stretching beyond the post office's metro-side entrance. Officials distributed tokens and announced a limit of one passport per person to manage the crowd; around 500 tokens were handed out within just 15 minutes of opening. Deputy Chief Postmaster Doddappa Itagi noted that all 1,000 booklets allocated for the Bengaluru GPO were sold on the very first day — prompting officials to cancel the planned second day of sales — while strong interest was also reported at post offices in Mysuru, Mangaluru, and Belagavi, particularly among younger visitors.
