The accused reportedly approached the complainant, Rohit Jaghare of the Timki area, in October 2025, offering to sell USDT and other digital currencies at below-market rates. Trust was built through initial small transactions before the victim was persuaded to transfer larger sums directly to the accused's bank account. Sarkar was produced before a court after being brought to Nagpur, which remanded him to police custody until July 13, while investigators continue to probe a potentially wider cyber fraud network.
