A delegation of 65 judicial officials from more than ten countries, including chief justices of the BRICS nations, traveled to Agra on September 6 and toured the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort as part of their India visit. The group had gathered in New Delhi from September 4 to 6 for the BRICS Chief Justices Forum, which was held under India's chairmanship and hosted by the Supreme Court of India. Countries represented in the delegation included Russia, China, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, and South Africa, among others. The forum centered on discussions about justice systems across member states, the rule of law, judicial cooperation, and the use of modern technology in courts. Representatives shared judicial experiences from their respective countries, and the meetings were directed toward strengthening legal and judicial cooperation at the international level. Despite rainfall on the day of their Agra visit, the delegation arrived carrying umbrellas, admired the Taj Mahal's intricate carvings and architectural design, took photographs at the monument, and also toured the nearby Agra Fort. The cool and rainy weather was noted by officials as allowing the delegation to enjoy the city's climate. POCSO Accused Escapes Moving Train Near Kirawali, FIR Filed Against Three Officers
A man wanted in a POCSO case in Mirzapur escaped by jumping from a moving train near Kirawali railway station in Agra on the night of September 4, and a formal complaint has since been filed against three police officers for negligence. The accused, identified as Suraj Kumar Pandey alias Harsh Pandey, was being transported by a Mirzapur police team aboard the Madhubani Express from Udhna station in Surat to Mirzapur. The team had traveled to Surat's Umra police station on September 2 to recover both the minor victim and the accused in connection with a case registered at Padri police station; Surat Police assisted in that recovery. At approximately 12:30 a.m., between Shringarpor and Kirawali stations in Agra, Pandey jumped from the moving train and fled into the darkness. Despite an extensive search by Sub-Inspector Vijay Shankar Yadav, the accused could not be located. The other two members of the escort team, Constable Neeraj Kumar and Woman Head Constable Geeta, continued to Padri with the victim, arriving on September 5. Sub-Inspector Jaiprakash of Padri police station subsequently filed a complaint at Agra's GRP Fort police station, naming Yadav, Geeta, and Kumar as responsible for the escape through negligence.
