Carolyn Annette Whitman, who passed away at the age of 89 in Pearland, Texas, spent formative years in the Rochester area after moving to Michigan in 1951 and graduating from Rochester Senior High School. She and her husband raised their family in Rochester before retiring to Texas, where she remained an active member of her Lutheran faith community throughout her life. Following visitation and a funeral service held in Rochester, a private burial for immediate family was arranged at White Chapel Memorial Park Cemetery in Troy. Memorial contributions in her honor were directed to Leader Dogs for the Blind. [3]

Mary Patricia Eckhout, who passed away at the age of 95, was a longtime Michigan resident who grew up in Birmingham and attended Michigan State University. She was deeply committed to community service, including work with the Christ Child Society, a village women's club, a lake preservation association, and literacy tutoring. Among her surviving children is a son residing in Troy, Michigan, who carries on her legacy. A memorial service was held with burial following at a northern Michigan cemetery, and contributions were directed to St. Jude Hospital for Children. [6]

Alma M. Golden of Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, passed away at the age of 90 after a life marked by decades of dedicated work — including 30 years at a local retail establishment and 32 years as a school district secretary. Though her life was centered in Pennsylvania, her family chose the Residential Hospice Foundation in Troy, Michigan, as one of two organizations to receive memorial contributions in her honor. The Troy-based hospice, located on Corporate Drive, was recognized alongside St. Joseph's Indian School as a cause worthy of remembrance. Alma is survived by three children, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. [7]
