David Winfield Temple, a longtime Brentwood resident and accomplished entrepreneur, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2026, surrounded by his wife and two children; he was 70 years old. Born in Lima, Ohio, on November 2, 1955, David — affectionately known as 'Win' to family and childhood friends — was remembered as spirited, mischievous, and endlessly curious, a man who cultivated deep and lasting friendships at every stage of his life. After earning a degree in Economics from the University of Cincinnati in 1978, his professional path led him to Memphis, where in 1984 he forged a business partnership with Joe Bankemper that would define much of his career; together, they founded Express Courier, building it into a landmark company in the courier industry before selling it in 2006 and subsequently launching Confirm Choice in 2009. David met his wife, Sabrina Curtis, in Memphis in 1985, and the couple eventually relocated to Nashville, where they built their family life; his colleagues Joi, Angie, and Laura followed him from one venture to the next, a reflection of the loyalty and culture he inspired in those around him.
