The proposed new structure would replace the current modest facility with a significantly larger three-story house of worship built to serve the congregation for the long term. A rendering submitted with the zoning application, provided by Gurudwara Singh Sabha, depicts an expansive facility consistent with the architectural character of Sikh gurdwaras. Sikh temples play a central role in community life well beyond religious observance and prayer.
