Mohanas Food Brings the Taste of Home to Coppell and Beyond

For many in Coppell's South Asian community, nothing rivals the comfort of a home-cooked Indian meal — and one local entrepreneur is on a mission to make that experience available to everyone, near and far.

🍛 Coppell Entrepreneur Simplifies Indian Cooking for North Texas

Mohanas Food, a Coppell-based business founded by Kannamma Balasubramanian, was born out of a personal need: her son, away at college, missed her home cooking but found traditional Indian recipes too complex to replicate on his own. Balasubramanian developed a product called a thokku Indian curry base, a versatile preparation that can be used to make more than 50 different dishes quickly and easily. She has been crafting the base for three to four years and the business is now expanding its delivery reach across North Texas, bringing the flavors of an authentic Indian kitchen to households throughout the region.
