🛂 Emergency Cases Only: Indian Embassy in Kuwait Pauses Regular Consular Services
The Embassy of India in Kuwait has announced a temporary suspension of routine passport, visa and consular services, restricting access to emergency cases only until July 19, 2026, citing administrative reasons. During this period, the embassy will continue to process urgent matters such as Tatkal passport issuance, emergency certificates, NRI certificates, short-validity passports for those with expiring Civil IDs, and e-visas, but normal passport applications, attestations and regular visa applications will not be accepted. All Indian Consular Application Centres in Kuwait have also been closed for new applications until further notice, with emergency applicants advised to visit the embassy's Consular Wing between 9am and noon with supporting documents. Officials stressed that the measure is a temporary operational one and does not reflect any change in India's broader visa policy or travel regulations. [7]
