In Lokpriya Vihar Colony under Khoda police station in Ghaziabad, a man identified as Raja Ansari, 45, allegedly stabbed his wife Tabassum, 35, and daughter Sana, 15, to death late Friday night, reportedly because the couple had never had a son. Ansari, a native of Araria in Bihar, works as a clerk at Khoda Mandi and had been living with his family in a rented house in the colony. According to the account of his 14-year-old daughter, a fight broke out between her parents that night over the recurring issue of not having a male child. During the confrontation, Ansari allegedly went to the kitchen, returned with a knife, and repeatedly attacked his wife. When Sana stepped in to defend her mother, she too was stabbed. Both Tabassum and Sana fell to the floor covered in blood. Ansari then turned on the younger daughter with the knife, but she fled the house and ran into the street screaming that her father had stabbed her mother and sister. Neighbors rushed to the scene, overpowered Ansari, and handed him over to police. A forensic team was called to collect evidence. The bodies of Tabassum and Sana were sent for post-mortem examination, and the injured 14-year-old daughter was admitted to hospital for treatment.
