🎓 AICTE Shuts Four Telangana Colleges Including Hyderabad's Avanthi School of Business
India's technical education regulator, AICTE, closed four institutions in Telangana at the end of the 2025-26 academic year, with low enrollment cited as the primary reason. The affected colleges include Avanthi School of Business Management in Hyderabad, Priyadarshini Institute of Science and Technology in Medak, NICMAR in Rangareddy, and Sana PG College MBA in Nalgonda — one engineering college and three management colleges in total. Students currently enrolled in these institutions will be permitted to complete their degrees. The Telangana High Court issued a status quo order protecting the building of Fatima Owaisi Educational Institution from demolition by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation. The Salar-e-Millat Educational Trust, which runs the institution, filed a petition stating that GHMC officials were moving to demolish the structure. Justice B Vijaysen Reddy directed that the building remain in its present condition, noting that the trust had submitted a regularisation application under the Building Regularisation Scheme as far back as 2016.
