Telangana Announces Completion of Three New Hospitals by End‑2027

Hyderabad – In a press briefing on August 18, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy outlined an ambitious health‑infrastructure plan that will see three major hospitals operational by December 2027. The projects include a new Osmania General Hospital, two Trauma and Injury Management Services (TIMS) facilities in LB Nagar and Alwal, and a Super Specialty Hospital in Warangal.
The CM emphasized that the new facilities are intended to expand access to advanced medical care across the state, easing pressure on existing hospitals and improving outcomes for patients with complex conditions. By adding a dedicated trauma network and a super‑specialty centre, the government aims to address growing demand for specialized treatment, especially in rapidly urbanising districts.
For the South‑Asian diaspora, the development signals a strengthening of healthcare infrastructure in a region that many families call home. Improved hospital capacity can reduce the need for overseas medical travel and provide reassurance that quality care is increasingly available locally. The timeline sets a clear target for completion, aligning with broader state initiatives to modernise public services.
The projects are now moving into the construction phase, with regular updates expected as milestones are reached.
