Remembering Two Lives Well Lived: Nashville Area Mourns the Loss of David and Kathy Temple

Losses within any community carry weight, and the passing of local figures reminds us of the human connections that quietly sustain the fabric of Nashville life. This week, the Nashville area mourns two individuals whose stories, though distinct, reflect lives devoted to family, friendship, and service.
🕊️ Brentwood Entrepreneur David Winfield Temple Remembered for Friendship and Family
David Winfield Temple of Brentwood, Tennessee, passed away on February 11, 2026, surrounded by his wife and two children after a life marked by entrepreneurial spirit and deep personal loyalty. A graduate of the University of Cincinnati, David built his career in Memphis before relocating to Nashville, where he and his long-time business partner co-founded Express Courier, which they later sold in 2006, followed by another venture called Confirm Choice. Those who worked with him spoke through their continued loyalty — several colleagues followed him from one company to the next, reflecting the culture of trust he cultivated. Beyond business, David was known as a devoted husband to Sabrina, a loving father to Allison and Win, and a delighted grandfather to his granddaughter Eloise Lea. He is remembered as someone who treasured every friendship and brought laughter and adventure to every chapter of his life. [1]
