Synopsis

Birds in the Dark is an upcoming Indian Punjabi-language film written, directed and shot by Shashank Walia, produced with the support of Hansal Mehta and Sahil Saigal. Set in rural Punjab, the story incorporates Punjabi, Kashmiri and Urdu dialects, and its world premiere will take place in the Vision section of the 31st Busan International Film Festival on 10 October 2026.
