Harivarasanam (2027)

Synopsis

Harivarasanam, a Sanskritised Malayalam ashtakam used as a lullaby to Lord Ayyappan at Kerala's Sabarimala Sree Dharma Sastha Temple, forms the core of the film's narrative. It depicts the song's rise through the first stanza of the Hariharatmajashtakam and shows both the traditional vocal rendition performed during the daily temple closing and the popular recorded version played for devotees.
