The 151-key greenfield property is being developed in partnership with the KLA Group, promoted by entrepreneur Kanhaya Lal Agrawal, whose company has executed road infrastructure projects for central and state government agencies across India since 2002. The new Gateway Raipur will feature an all-day dining restaurant, a specialty restaurant and bar, a fully equipped gym, swimming pool, spa and over 10,000 square feet of banquet space suitable for weddings, conferences and corporate events. IHCL's Executive Vice President for Real Estate and Development, Suma Venkatesh, described Raipur as one of central India's most important emerging economic centres, driven by industrial expansion, infrastructure investment and its role as an administrative and educational hub.
