Opposition Leader Blames Tamil Nadu CM for Declining Law‑and‑Order Situation

Chennai, Sept 3 – In a pointed address to the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly, opposition figure Udhayanidhi Stalin accused Chief Minister Vijay of allowing law and order to “hit rock bottom.” Stalin urged the government to outline immediate steps to curb a spate of crimes, traffic congestion and public‑safety concerns that have been unsettling residents across the state.

The remarks were made as a series of thefts, violent clashes and other incidents have drawn attention to policing challenges in Tamil Nadu, one of India’s most industrialised and densely populated regions. Stalin called for a detailed action plan and pressed for an assembly debate on the issue, signalling heightened political friction ahead of the next state elections.
