Disco (2026)

Synopsis

Ullas Jose Chemban's Malayalam film explores how disco music, defined by four-on-the-four beats and syncopated basslines, emerged in 1960s American urban nightlife, incorporating brass, electric pianos, and rhythmic guitars as core sonic elements. The film emphasizes the genre's instrumentation and cultural roots without fictionalizing its history.
