🌯 Kati Roll Company Crosses the Hudson to Journal Square

The Kati Roll Company, a fast-casual Indian street food concept founded in Manhattan's Greenwich Village in 2002, is opening its first New Jersey location in Jersey City's Journal Square neighborhood on July 1. The new spot at 924 Bergen Ave. — the former site of a Popeyes — will serve kati rolls, a Kolkata street food specialty made with chargrilled fillings wrapped in fresh-baked roti or paratha, alongside rice bowls, salad bowls, mango lassi, masala chai, and organic potato chips. The location will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and can seat between 25 and 30 guests. This Jersey City outpost joins four existing New York City locations, two in Texas, and two in London, with additional New Jersey sites planned for Hoboken, Metuchen, and New Brunswick later this year.
