RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat addresses over 2,000 Canadian Hindus in Toronto

Toronto, Canada –

RSS Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohan Bhagwat delivered the keynote address at a pan‑Canadian Hindu congregation hosted in Toronto. More than 2,000 participants representing all ten provinces gathered for Hindu Vishwa Bandhu – Embrace the World with Friendship, an event organized by Canadian Hindus for Outreach, Relations and Dialogue (CHORD) and backed by over 175 community organisations.

Bhagwat’s speech highlighted the richness of Hindu heritage and the importance of fostering friendship and dialogue within Canada’s multicultural fabric. He invoked the ancient principle of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam—the world as one family—to underscore the community’s role in building inclusive, harmonious societies.

The gathering, described by organisers as a celebration of cultural continuity and civic engagement, featured cultural performances, panel discussions and networking opportunities. Attendees expressed optimism that such platforms reinforce the visibility of South‑Asian voices in public discourse and encourage collaborative contributions to Canada’s social and civic life.

The event marks a significant moment for the diaspora, signalling a collective effort to bridge tradition with contemporary Canadian identity while strengthening ties across provincial lines.
