Remembering Allen's Own: Two Lives of Service Honored in Texas
Communities are defined not just by their growth but by the lives lived and honored within them — this week, two Texas families remembered individuals whose dedication to service and family left a lasting mark.
🕯️ Mike Glover, Devoted Father and Nurse, Remembered in Temple
Mike Glover of Temple, Texas, passed away on December 1, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving behind a legacy of military service, nursing care, and devoted fatherhood. He served in the United States Air Force from 1966 to 1972 during the Vietnam War and later became a registered nurse at Scott & White Hospital, working in the Cardiac ICU and other departments before transitioning to medical research. Those who knew him remembered him most for his unwavering pride in his son Allen, whom he spoke about to anyone who would listen. Mike also gave back to his community as a volunteer and board member at the Temple Civic Theatre and as a certified PADI scuba diving instructor. [4]
