A new Indian restaurant called Amrut is headed to Ashburn's Brambleton neighborhood, bringing a distinctive dual-concept dining format to one of Loudoun County's fastest-growing residential communities. The sign for the restaurant appeared at Brambleton Corner Plaza, at the intersection of Northstar Boulevard and Evergreen Mills Road. Amrut replaces what had been announced as a second Brambleton-area outlet for the Biryani Grill chain, whose owners concluded that three locations in close proximity — in South Riding, Ashburn, and Brambleton — would be excessive. Under the Amrut concept, the 5,700-square-foot space will operate two distinct dining experiences under one roof. The upscale full-service side will feature a full bar and a menu including dishes such as Bang Bang Gobi, Baby Corn Pepper Fry, Gun Powder Prawns, Naga Chicken Wings, Mughlai Chicken Curry, and Nihari Lamb Shanks, with seating for approximately 130 diners. A fast-casual counter-service section catering to 30 to 40 guests will offer South Indian tiffins, Indian-style pizzas, and sandwiches for guests seeking a quicker meal.
